As you already know, SVN Mirror is an app for Bitbucket Server / Data Center to help you migrate from SVN to Git. It converts SVN repositories to Git and allows you to work with both systems simultaneously. Although it's quite straightforward and simple to use, it has many useful features and settings. 

For the initial setup, check out the Basic Guides section. You will find a generic Quick-Start Guide there and specific instructions for various Git servers.
